Andhra Province

Social involvement started with Fr. Windy's Village Reconstruction Organisation (VRO) in Guntur in 1965. In 1991, students of Andhra Loyola College started a student organization called SOSA. They involved themselves in Dalit action programmes.

At present AICUF is coordinating all the youth programmes.

In 1993, the province started to work for the tribals in Khammam district.

At Hindupur in Western Andhra. where the people are still poor, we have started a school and health care centre with special facilities for children and women. In 2002 we have started social centre at SAMADARSHINI. Eventually this centre will move to Vijayawada permanently.
