Hazaribag Province

The province presently focuses on marginalised groups belonging to the Nagesia and Korwa tribals, Bhuiyan, Ganjhus and dalits. The main thrust of the apostolate is to challenge caste oppression and traditional feudal systems.

The social apostolate has been working towards the empowerment of dalits and against displacement of Nagesia tribals in bauxite mining area. Pastoral project has endowed Satsangh to dalits.

Socia-Pastoral ministry includes Frs. Gnanaprakasam, Xavier Diraviam, Christopher Kerketta, Francis Xavier Xalxo, Yugal Kishor, John Xaxa and M.K. Jose as its core group.
